#218 Going to the Chappel

Hello everyone!! 

I am going to break away from the norm and just share a happy occasion. 

On March 7th I was able to be a part of a wedding.  My Second Life daughter "took the plunge" and  was married at 7pm SLT.  

As with all weddings it was filled with calamity and chaos.  I find that to be the very best part of any wedding.  I feel that if you have a perfect wedding in any life, your marriage will certainly fail.

If you can pantomime a lifetimes worth of heart-attack into one very special day, then you have essentially nailed down the entire marriage.  Because!! as we all know...Love is Blind, but Marriage is a REAL Eye-Opener.

The Venue was planned by myself, in collaboration with Julianna Ireto (the bride) and a dear friend Cal Prefect.  The venue developed into exactly what we all envisioned...an Eden.

We had the very best time. In this beautiful garden.  I love this Wedding Barn from  Trompe Loeil.

They look so real on grid but in this photo its obvious where the lines are...but hey!!! Thats ok!

#215 Pajama Party with Sammy

I've been so busy lately, that finding the time to post has been difficult.

However, there has been no shortage of game time, I've just been distracted.  You guys know how that goes.....

  Over the next few days, l intend to show you some of the pictures l have shot most recently.

Until a few weeks ago, l had never really encountered an SL child.

As a very foreign concept, l simply avoided that which l did not understand.  Well let me be the first to say, that SL kids are incredibly fun!  This one in particular.  She leaves me laughing behind the keyboard!

Sammy is made up of all the fun things in second life...giggles, typos, bows, flowers, jellybeans, cookies...you name it!  She has this uncanny ability to grab your heart because she is so adorable.

Sammy decided that she wanted the new release from {Lil Big Me}Payton Jammies.  So l took her to the store and we got it so she could have some new "jammies".   Then she told me we were having a party...so l grabbed my  Severed Garden **GoodMorning* pajamas in sky...and tried to match the 

un-matchable.

#214 Catfishing??!

Very recently l crawled out from under my rock and learned about a term that is not only bothersome, it just flat out stinks!!

According to the Urban Dictionary,

Catfishing ls: 

The phenomenon of internet predators that fabricate online identities and entire social circles to trick people into emotional/romantic relationships (over a long period of time).

Possible motivations: revenge, loneliness, curiosity, boredom
The term catfishing was inspired by the 2010 documentary "Catfish."

 lt is my hope that some of you never knew this until reading this. However, l am almost certain that to the majority of you this is not something new.

And what better platform to vet a shenanigan like Catfishing?  Welcome to Second Life!!!

Let's see a show of hands...how many of you have been duped, fooled, made to feel so important..so loved...so needed...so wanted..by another and then :

You are NOT ALONE!!

But here's the thing: it's not just teens...it's adults as well.

On some level Second Life is just walking a tight-rope on the line.

l'm not here to tell you how to run your Second Life, but look at it from both sides and make sure that you are not the one Catfishing or being Catfished.

There are serious legalities involved with being on the wrong end of this. 

Some involve high fines and criminal charges. 

l play my SL with integrity and l  try to keep it as real as possible without jeapordizing my actual life.  

lf you feel like you're being played for a fool, you probably are.

My advice is THROW lT BACK!!

#211 Anything But Ordinary...Please!

Before Second Life, if someone had used the term "Steampunk" I would have looked at them like they had seven heads.

If you still dont know what steampunk is, then let me Wiki it down for you:

 

Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction that typically features steam-powered machinery,^[1] especially in a setting inspired by industrialized Western civilization during the 19th century. So, yea.... Steampunk has been in SL for a while now. And Berta and Bubi, from Severed Garden, have brought it to you in the form of Agatha!

It comes with a monacle and a hat and boots and a key for your mouth! I only had one issue with the outfit. I have a mesh head and the collar that comes with the dress is just too small for my fat head. So we had to nix the collar. Oh well....

I had to go to the *Rust* by Cica Ghost sim to shoot because it is amazingly steampunk! Great place to take shots or just explore!

 

The hair i am wearing is from Clawtooth (please and thanks). It's one of my favorites and it seems to blend well with just about everything.

#210 Lingerie from League...Only Prettier

Today, I am wearing this Lingerie set from League. The Sakura Corset & Lingerie.

 

I have a thing for vintage looks, so this was an obvious choice. And "yes" I'm still in the same Magika "Moment" hair.  I can't help it! I love this hair.

 

 

 

So I have this country song (sorry to all you country haters)...but its permanently lodged in my brain. As I was shooting these pictures, I was humming this song. So I've decided to share the video!

#208 Bound To You

 

Again, I have been watching my guilty pleasure movie "Burlesque".

I couldnt help but notice the fashion worn in the movie and this one particular song. Now...with that said, I am NO dress designer.  So, I embarqued on an SL journey to find the dress in this video.

 

 

 

In watching this video, one must wonder things like "how many times did she wipe that red lipstick off her teeth?" or "did they sew her into that dress? or was it made of lycra?"  The world may never know.

 

Nevertheless, the journey for this green dress in SL was interesting. Maybe it's just me, but it seems that we are only getting "so far" with mesh. Many of the mesh dresses, shirts, pants...well they are all starting to look the same to me. (Probably just my blahze fickleness in action again.)

 

We have so many incredible designers, I wanted something to at least "fit the bill".  I found this really hot number online...but you can locate it at Wirefly (<===slurl embedded here )

 

 

 

Its as low cut as you can get without showing everything you own. Its called "Night dream" in black.

#207 Fashion Forward with Severed Garden!

Hellooooo There Readers! (if anyone is still reading this blog...)

I admit that I have been off grid for a while. 

While I have been away I missed so much wonderful fashion. However, I have to say that our beloved Berta Avro, from Severed Garden,  always keep me up to date on what is going on with her stuff. 

Today I am blogging her two newest releases!

First is a Fierce and Forward Fiona!

I added the thong to it, but you don't have to. I matched it up with my favorite Magika hair "Volume".

The second is a precious little maxi-dress called Jamila.

Both of these creations have caught my eye, and i am completely in love with them.

Im so excited to be able to share this new skin with you.  BEUSY, one of my favorite designers, is branching out. This new Evangeline skin and shape from designer Colorless, is AME-AZING!!!!!!!!!

 

I chose the light skin, but there is also a Tan and Cocoa option.
The skin is just fun!  But as you can see, this is not our Normal shape. That is because I am wearing the Evangeline Shape as well! Woop Woop!

Severed Garden just released possibly the cutest outfit I have seen..ever! So this is what I'm wearing today!  I chose one of my favorite hairs from Magika and it fits the bill!
