#137 Monroe (Marilyn) Style

I have a captivation with all things Retro! From 1930-1980 and all years in betwixt. Thinking that I mentioned my love for Audrey Hepburn, in an earlier blog, I thought today would be a great day for me to give you an Amethest spin on Marilyn Monroe.

Marilyn is known for her beauty. However what few recognize is that she was very intelligent as well. There are many quotes you can find from her, and here is one of my very favorites: "This life is what you make it. No matter what, you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal truth. Marilyn Monre, if she had lived, is probably the only person who could have created a habit of being happy. I do not know many who could. However, I believe that she could have.

#136 Spanked skins...Feature interview with Shayna Korobase: designer

Not all of us are the normal flat-chested, moderate bosom-ed girls. Some are big busted girls! Well bring on the bosoms!

My newest friend is Shayna Korobase, the owner of SPANKED skins.

 She has been slowly educating this blogger about mesh implants for your avatar! There is even a magazine named "BUSTed", in which Shayna was featured for her skins. Spanked is one of a few places that cater to those who embrace the female Mesh implant breasts.

She is also beginning to make clothing for petites, having released new items just a few days ago.

  When I asked Shayna to educate me, here is what she had to say:

"So there are 2 kinds of implants for girls now, sculpt prim implants and full on mesh bodies.
With prim implants, there are many name brands like Lolas, ecorp, and Universal.
It's always good to ask fans of implants to help find the right pair for you.What's great about implants is at larger sizes they don't get blocky like the SL avatar boobs and they can do more... lots more ;)
It all depends on what you want them for. They are used for anything from BDSM to high fashion. The biggest problem with implants... is matching the skins. Because skins are so rare for implants, I created SPANKED. I make high quality skins at low prices that come with matching implant appliers for all major name brand implants."

I personally find it impressive when any designer wears their own creations. I see designers everyday who wear other designs than their own. If they will not wear it, why would you? (but that's a whole other blog..haha) Certain this is not the case with our feature designer.

#135 Random Wednesday Cuteness

I just found this dress in my inventory today.  I must have purchased it on one of my many shopping sprees at

JANE.

 I love that store. The clothes are so perfectly matched to my avatar!

When I put the dress on, I wanted to find a pair of shoes that show character.

And we all know my love for umbrellas...well now its turning to Wellies and Umbrellas.

MIEL is another great shop, so I knew I could find some sort of shoe there. But I had no idea I would find these!!! I love these Puddle Boots!

So I just had to share this outfit.  I really hope you like it!

#134 Envious...ironic isnt it? we're gonna gossip now...

This week has been a little interesting. I was at one of our favorite hair design shops (Wasabi Pills) when this really sweet girl asked me "hey where did you get your hair?"  So that started a conversation! HA. Because we all know that I love to talk "shop" with new people.  Well... this girl, Jenna,  was super nice. The next thing I know I'm getting a random message from Shayna (who I didn't know) who is thanking me for telling Jenna about my hair.

 (Don't skip to the bottom just yet...it gets better...STAY IN THE CAR)

So as it would turn out our new friend Shayna is a blogger as well. She told me this story about a horrid woman who had my hair. She saw her in a club and asked her where she got the hair. So this girl tells Shayna in a very rude manor  "I don't like to tell people where I get my things. People try to clone my look all the time"

REALLY!???

Who is really that self absorbed that they won't share simple information.

 Shayna's not just a blogger, she's a designer for skins as well. (Talk about wrong move mystery hag...cuz now we're gonna talk about you!)

Anyway the hair is the MILE HIGH PONY from Ploom!
 I'm wearing it in this blog because it matches this adorable outfit from Envious. (ha! envious..great word...perfect that this hair matched up with the designer of the outfit I'm getting ready to tell you about.)

I think what I love the most about this outfit is that it's complete. So many designers have gotten away from giving us the complete look. Don't get me wrong, I love buying shirts and skirts...mixing and matching...but I'm sentimental about the days when designers gave you a full look. Thank you Envious for giving us everything that we need.

It even includes the shoes.

These shoes are too cute!  They match the outfit and other stuff in my inventory. So you might see these shoes again.  If I ever take them off.

So here is my advice for the week.  Want to get some attention at the club?....go to Ploom..get the Mile high Pony in your color...then go to Envious...and grab this outfit. It really works. I tried it out. (but that's a different story) TRUST ME! This outfit will work for you!

#133 Adios y Buena Suerte (Goodbye and Good Luck) Doppelganger

We all love a good sale, that is obvious.  However, when it comes on the end-tails of someone closing their shop, it's a bittersweet shopping experience for me.

I received the group note from Doppelganger yesterday that they will be closing their doors on the 15th.  Until then we are all able to shop for L50 or less. Some fat packs are priced higher.

#132 What to wear today...perplexed

Lately, I have been engulfed in the "gross moral turpitude" that is the E.L James series  50 shades of Grey. So much so, that I have not stirred a pot of dinner or slept a full 8 hours in 4 days without Kindle flipping pages.

 Now having read all three novels, I am still trying to wrap my brain around the experience. This is honest. And in this, I have fully lost my writing ability.

However, here I sit facing you fine folks...

In any case, since my brain is still somewhere in imaginary Seattle with Mr. Grey. I give you Anastasia Steele. (or at least the Amethest Peck vision of what she might look like)

#131 Tamu- Severed Garden NEW RELEASE

Today's new release from Severed Garden is so cute I had to share it! Even though I don't fully understand the name for it, I have to say that I am in "Attachment Heaven".

For those of you who read my blog, you know that I adore attachments. I think they bring life and character to your avatar. 

I really don't have anything to criticize on this outfit either. It's perfect. The fit of the mesh is great! Well except the hat...SL Hair hates SL Hats. Just sayin'.

Just move the hat around a little and you will find that you can tweek it to fit most hair.

Tamu comes complete with the parrot for your shoulder, the monkey on your hat, and the band aids on the knee. Not to mention...camera, binoculars, boots, and everything else.

It also comes in two color options, the Original (which is khaki) and then the Fresh (which is a soft green color).
